In Texas, CACs are evaluated and supported by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas which is also a 501 c 3 organization that works with the Texas Attorney General’s office to make sure that CAC’s are monitored and follow the law. The CACCC is one of 62 centers in Texas.
The law that authorizes CAC’s to operate in Texas is located in the Texas Family Code, Section 264.402.
